Well, I guess I must start somewhere with this so here goes. It seems to be "the thing" to do if you are adopting internationally so I'm officially on board! We are in the "waiting" stage of our adoption with that meaning, well ... we are waiting! We were logged into "the line" 02/19/08 with our agency America World Adoption Agency and now we save, beg, plead, borrow, and sell things to raise money (only the average 15k) until we hear our SUPERWOMAN'S voice (aka Duni) on the line telling us we have referral!! Now, when we were logged in we were dossier #68; they no longer go by dossier numbers, it is just the day you are logged in. So with this being said the average wait time for infant boys: 5-7 months, infant girls 7-9 months and more than one (that's us) 9-12 months. So, with about 40 or so before us, we wait. Not so sure about this deal 'cause you know, I'm not a grand waiter.
So we will see how things progress this year and should start selling baby blankets and maybe some t-shirts next week, but of course if you feel so led to donate to help us bring them home you may do so at any time!! It is a grand adventure that we would love for you to be a part of in any way you would like. We love to talk about our journey with any and all, so welcome aboard!

You Know you Should Adopt If ...
Stole this from Kelly, who stole it from Jana ... had to share!
1. The fact that there are 143 million children without a parent to kiss them goodnight has made you lose sleep.
2. You realize DNA has nothing to do with love and famly.
3. You cant watch Adoption Stories on TLC without sobbing.
4. The fact that, if 7% of Christians adopted 1 child there would be no orphans in the world, is convicting to you.
5. You spend free time (AND not free time :P) surfing blogs about families who have experienced the blessing of adoption.
6. It drives you crazy when people ask you about a adopted child's "real" parents.
7. You have ever been "pregnant" with your adoptive child longer than it takes an elephant to give birth. (2 years!)
8. You had no idea how you would afford to adopt but stepped out in faith anyway, knowing where God calls you He will provide.
9. You have ever taken an airplane ride half-way around the world with a child you just met.
10. You believe God's heart is for adoption.
11. You realize that welcoming a child into your heart and family is one of the most important legacies you could ever leave on this earth.
12. You know what the word "Dossier" means, and you can actually pronounce it!
13. You have welcomed a social worker into the most private parts of your life.
14. You shudder when people say your child is so lucky that you adopted them, knowing full well you are the blessed one to have him or her in your life!
